Setting the STAGE For Success
Hello! I am Kim St. Marie and I have been decorating and rearranging rooms for as long as I can remember. I find joy in in making homes beautiful, comfortable, and a perfect reflection of those who dwell there and I love nothing more than walking into a challenging space and envisioning the potential it holds.
I owe my passion and eye for design to my grandmother, who made sure every room in her home was impeccably decorated, but still, warm and inviting. As a young child, I remember being so excited for each visit to Grandma’s to see what new “pretties” she had acquired since I was last there. As early as 12 years old, I looked forward to the home layout being featured in the HOMES section of the Sunday edition of the Star Tribune. I would spend hours assessing whether I liked the look of the exterior, if the rooms were large enough or what changes I would make to the plan so it worked for my future family. And I would take it one step further by paging through catalogs to "shop" for furnishings and imagine how I would decorate each room. When I earned my first paycheck as a grocery store cashier at 16, I spent the majority of it at Pier 1 buying some cool furnishings for the apartment I lived in with my mom and brother.
Prior to starting my home staging and styling business, I worked for various non-profit organizations and have most enjoyed working in Community Education developing quality programming for adults, children and youth. I have also worked with various professional trade associations to bring education and networking experiences to those who work in the childcare, multi-family housing, and electrical industries. I am passionate about helping people of all ages reach their personal and professional goals, and now, to achieve their goals as a homeowners.
It is an honor and a privilege to be able to work with real estate agents and home sellers to help prepare their listings and homes for a successful sale. And there is nothing I love more than lending my eye to transform a room or an entire home into a sanctuary that a homeowner can't wait to return to at the end of a busy day.
As the saying goes, "If you do what you love, you will never “work” another day in your life."
